As I mentioned a few weeks back, I will be one of the hosts of the 2011 season of This Just In… From Gen Con, the only live-from-the-con podcast. This year, instead of going to corporate sponsors directly, we decided to turn it over to the fans and crowdfund the project via IndieGoGo. Check out the video we did:
So, why are we doing this? Quite simply because doing this show at Gen Con is work, actual work. Ask Ryan Macklin, who did it for three years and was happy to pass it on because of what it took. Luckily, I’m okay with that as I wanted to see the show go on. I personally have drawn a lot of use from this show, especially when I was in Puerto Rico, unable to attend Gen Con, in 2009; TJI let me share in the excitement and feel like I was also a part of it. I want to make sure someone else can feel like that this year if they can’t make it to Indy.
So please, drop by IndieGoGo.com/TJIGenCon and consider backing our project. We have low-priced options that should make it easy for anyone to pitch in. The campaign will go on until July 17, so you have time to support this year’s edition of This Just In… From Gen Con!
